| Carilion Professional Service's mission is to provide patients with quality, high value anesthesia care. CPS empowers the clinician through professional, collegial, and organizational support promoting accountability, compassion, and good citizenship within the health care community. The spirit of CPS is engendered by a strong team approach while providing the individual practitioner every opportunity to excel personally and professionally. We currently represent 50 CRNAs who service our hospital system and outpatient centers. Many of our CRNAs are credentialed in several hospitals providing flexibility to our coverage options. Our CRNAs perform approximately 25,000 anesthetics annually, of which approximately 60% are on an outpatient basis. In our regional medical centers, we collaboratively work with our Anesthesiologists to provide 24-hour, in-house coverage seven days per week. CRNAs can administer regional anesthesia. In some of our community based hospitals, we are the sole provider of anesthesia services. Here CRNAs administer regional anesthesia and place invasive lines. Carilion Clinic is known throughout the communities of central and southwestern Virginia for the high-quality- health care, compassionate people and innovative, state-of-the-art technology that set us apart from other health care systems. Carilion Clinic is a tertiary care medical center and serves as the region's referral resource for specialty and subspecialty care. The Carilion Clinic also owns Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, Carilion Bedford Hospital in Bedford, Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington, Carilion Tazwell Hospital in Tazewell, VA At the Carilion Clinic we employ CRNAs via Carilion Professional Services, L.L.C(CPS). This is a not-for-profit-subsidiary. CRNAs are based at one facility within the System and have the opportunity to voluntarily float to other facilities as needed for additional compensation.
